Radio will fumble this, and in the long run that'll be a serious mistake. Country radio won't add to its base if its aging white listenership resists. It kinda reminds me of Harley Davidson, whose customers are dying out, but the company gets backlash when it tries to appeal to younger, diverse ridership by making electric or small displacement bikes. Their grumpy white customer base is determined to render the company bankrupt and irrelevant someday, and country radio is stuck in a similar dynamic.
Long after country radio deliberately has made itself irrelevant, Texas Hold 'Em will still be a staple at wedding receptions.
Great Commentary!
Great kicker
I woke up wondering what y'all were thinking.
