The Good

"A Lesson in Leavin'," Sierra Ferrell and Nikki Lane: Talk about Don't Rock the Inbox Core! Trio vibes but these two count for 1.5 each on here. Would take a whole album of this. - MM

"Drunk Works," Trisha Yearwood ft. Hailey Whitters: Trisha living her best life on this record, and this song. Country radio in a better world, naturally. — NW

Snipe Hunter, Tyler Childers: Not gonna call it humblebrag, because I'm proud of the work I do, but maybe a caveat - and that caveat is I got to sit with Tyler to talk all about this record for GQ (and many many other things), and I think it's a damn masterpiece, I really do. Give it at least a handfull of listens before you judge, especially if you are a longtime fan attached to hunting a certain sound. Putting the wild ride of an opener, "Eatin' Big Time" on your playlist and soon we'll all be screaming HAVE YOU EVER GOT TO HOLD AND BLOW A THOUSAND FUCKING DOLLARS together as the lord intended. - MM

"Take Me Back," The Deslondes: Another sly plug for our own work here, but Natalie absolutely killed it on this profile of the Deslondes. I spent a lot of time listening to the band since reading the piece, and have a new appreciation and understanding of their work. That's what good profiles do, please don't replace us with AI!! - MM
