The Good
"Country & Midwestern," Tigirlily Gold: First heard this in an ad that played before the video for "Choosin' Texas" (good marketing!) and frankly it rips even as a person who has absolutely no connection to the Midwest. — NW"
"Anything But Me," Owen Riegling: Honestly, I love hearing a dude in country music so clearly influenced by Kelsea Ballerini!! - MM
"If I Don't Leave I'm Gonna Stay," Carly Pearce and Riley Green: This duet begs for a bit more of a build with the chorus, but I feel there is some actual chemistry here? Marissa is the duet expert though… — NW [I approve! - MM]
"No Springtime," Allison Russell featuring Joy Oladokun and Julie Williams: I expected this to be good because I love all three of these artists, but the way their voices both meld and play is pretty perfect. Gorgeous interplay with the rhythm too – Russell's compositions are so brilliant at creating a full-body feeling, not just a sound. - MM
