The Good
"Yard Sale," Ashland Craft, Mae Estes and Ashley McBryde: This one is pretty objectively awesome — great voices, great production, fun hooky songwriting. I have a qualm though: why does every woman singer today have to do a song about hosting a garage sale for their exes belongings? I have heard at least four or five of them within the past few years, and it feels oddly niche to become a country cliché. — NW
“Six O’Clock News,” Brennan Wedl featuring Waxahatchee: File under Marissa-core Waxacountree! - MM
"Bottle Tells Me So," Ashley McBryde: Speaking of Ashley McBryde, a heartbreaking, vulnerable ballad from one of Nashville's best singers. Always here for a drinking song that actually speaks to…the realities of drinking. — NW
