“You Get Half,” Kat Hasty: Definitely don’t want to get ahead of myself here, but Hasty’s songs are giving the slightest hint of the kind of decidedly Texan plainspokenness and humor that I get from early Kacey and Miranda. A song about splitting a lottery ticket is my kind of tune. — NW [Major team Kat Hasty person here…great songwriter, fellow mom, hope she blows up outside state lines soon.
